Privacy Policy

Canada National Veteran Tournament Association (CNVT). Last updated: 24 August 2026.

This policy explains what information the CNVT mobile app and website collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the CNVT app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account data (administrators): email address and an encrypted (hashed) password for club and tournament administrators.
• Orders & purchases: when you buy merchandise, we collect your name, email, and shipping address (street, city, province, postal code) so we can fulfil and confirm your order.
• Payments: card payments are processed securely by Stripe. CNVT does not see or store your full card number.
• Marketplace & enquiry forms: details you choose to submit (title, description, contact name, phone, email, city, website).
• Donations: your name and email if you provide them with a donation.

How we use your information

• To provide tournament information, fixtures, clubs, news and media.
• To process merchandise orders, donations and marketplace listings, and to send order confirmations.
• To operate, secure and improve the app (including spam/abuse prevention).

Sharing & third parties

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app: Stripe (payments), and our hosting/email/storage provider (Emergent) for delivering the app, sending transactional emails and storing images. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention & security

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Passwords are hashed and traffic is encrypted in transit.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Marketplace listings and orders you submit can be removed on request.

Children

CNVT is intended for adults (the tournament is for veteran players aged 35+). It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
